In Celebration of Elton’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour and in recognition of the multi-talented artists and cartoonists of Australia, the National Cartoon Gallery is hosting the Captain Fantastic Cartoon Competition!

This Competition is open to cartoonists and artists in any medium…so grab your pens, pencils, chisels, paints…or the welding torch and get involved in the most exciting competition on the calendar! A selection of works from the competition will adorn the gallery walls from 31 January to 29 March 2020.

Entries can be a satirical or comical salute to Sir Elton – think comic strip, caricature, portrait, sculpture – Elton & his music, being a dad, LGBTQ, his glasses, his clothes – let your imagination & creativity flow! – with prizes including tickets to see Elton in concert! Other prizes are yet to be announced… Stay tuned!
