Rotary Cartoon Awards

The Rotary Cartoon Awards is an Australia-wide competition run by the National Cartoon Gallery with support from the Australian Cartoonists’ Association. The competition is open to all cartoonists, both professional and enthusiasts. They are recognised as the premier competition for cartoonists in Australia and are highly regarded by those in the industry. The aim of the Awards is to promote and support the Cartooning Industry and its artists. Entries from the annual competition help grow the Gallery’s collection which is currently in excess of 23,500 – the largest collection in Australia.

The RCA commenced in 1989 as an initiative of the Coffs City Rotary Club and together with valuable community support, the awards have successfully carved an identity as one of the most important cartoon awards in the country.
